What are Booster Club Roles and Responsibilities?

The ERA Booster Club is looking for members to support a range of positions.  Annual elections are held at our April or May Board of Director's meeting, vacant positions may be filled at any time.  All meetings are open to the community.

The Executive Board is comprised of: Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. 

Board Positions

Chair: As the chief executive of the Board of Directors, the Chair is responsible for convening and presiding over all regularly scheduled board meetings. They also prepare the agenda for all Board of Director and Executive Board meetings and ensure that all organizational resolutions are carried out. Attendance required at monthly Board of Director and Executive Board meetings.

Vice Chair:  [Open 2025-26]  The Vice Chair acts as an assistant to the Chair and assumes the duties of the Chair during his/her absence upon request. Attendance required at monthly Board of Director and Executive Board meetings.

Secretary:  [Open 2025-26]  The Secretary is responsible for keeping records of all Board actions, overseeing the taking of minutes at all Board meetings, sending out meeting announcements, agendas, and minutes. Attendance required at monthly Board of Director and Executive Board meetings. 

Treasurer:  [Open 2025-26]  Manages the club’s finances, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance with financial policies. Attendance required at monthly Board of Director and Executive Board meetings.

Our club also has several director and committee chairs for specific events, with ad hoc responsibilities over the course of the year. All positions can be co-chaired. 

Communications/Marketing Director:  [Open 2025-26]  Responsible for sending all Booster communications for events, meetings, etc. Help with graphic design for marketing materials; Pro Canva account is available.

Community Engagement Director: [Open 2025-26]  Leads initiatives to strengthen community involvement and school spirit.

Concessions Director(s):  [Open 2025-26]  Oversee concessions and admissions, especially during fall (Volleyball) and winter (Basketball). Select product for sale and set pricing. Work with Volunteer Director to set volunteer shifts, and season leads to manage the stand during fall and winter. *This is a critical role as it provides the majority of Booster revenue.

Events Director(s):  [Open 2025-26]  Help plan Booster Club events! These include seasonal Senior Nights/Pack the Stands events and the End of Year Awards Celebration. All event planning is well documented including schedules and checklists.  Experienced committee members and ERA staff are also available to help.  

Sponsorship Director: Oversee the implementation of the existing sponsorships and ensure the fulfillment of all sponsorship benefits.

Team Coordinator Director: [Open 2025-26]  Serves as the liaison between the Booster Club, the Activities Director, and team representatives to support team needs.

Volunteer Director: Maintain the volunteer SignUp Genius and work with the Team Coordinator Director to recruit volunteers.

Website Director:  [Open 2025-26]  Maintains and updates the Booster Club website, ensuring accurate and timely information is available.

A/V Technology Director:  [Open 2025-26]  Supports the use of our live-streaming platform, Hudl. Helps ensure we maximize the benefits of live-streaming and stats analysis to enhance the experience for teams, families, and fans.

Concessions Leads (4): Responsible for opening/closing and training shift volunteers for admissions and concessions. Approximately 12 dates or less required. Training provided. Lead is not responsible for working the shifts and may watch all of the games. Fall (Volleyball Lead), Winter (2) (Boys Basketball Lead, Girls Basketball Lead), Spring (covers baseball & spring play)

Members at Large:   [Open Always]  If you are interested in being involved but don't wish to hold a board position, consider becoming a member at large and join a committee! Or volunteer for a shift on our volunteer page.

• Senior Night signs 
• Senior Night candy bouquets
• Pictures at events
• Help with the mascot
• Tech support for Hudl livestreaming
• Decorate at year end celebration
• Content for the Eagle Eye
• Setup/tear down at events (senior night, year end celebration) 

Many roles can be shared with others or modified to suit your skill-set and schedule.
